That has to be an early Custom with Sports Deluxe option, you see no domed hood and the 275 HP 327. SD became available in January 1967 with the domed hood and two 396s. So technically Dale you are right all 1967 SDs are big block although the early cars are SD optioned. Not being one of the Gurus on Beaumonts I stand to be corrected but this is what I've learned from being on this forum for the past 12 years or so.

Very nice!

I'm not anywhere near an expert on Beaumonts (more like a casual observer), but to back up what Ray is saying, here are a couple of pages out of the '67 Beaumont brochure where the "sports option" is explained:

1967_Beaumont-12.jpg

And just in case the ad disappears, here are the details contained within:

1967 Pontiac beamount SD convertible

$39,999.00

Older ground- up restoration original Beamount SD convertible butternut yellow , Black deluxe bucket console ! 327/275 hp. 4 speed m21 , 12 posi ! Only 400 Beaumont convertibles were made ! An less than 50 SD !! Rust free car !!! Stripe package ! New red lines tires on factory rallies ! Just completed full tuneup rebuilt carb , rebuilt distributor , new clutch fork and bearing ! Heat riser an Mufflers !

Yes, prior to approx Dec 1 1966, A51 Sport Deluxe option did not include a 396 unless you ordered it. The car was a model 736 Custom with the option.

After approx Dec 1 1966, A51 got you bucket seats. If you wanted a Sport Deluxe you ordered a model 738 Sport Deluxe. It came with only a 396 and if you wanted buckets you ordered option A51 for bucket seats. Even GM Vintage documented cars wrong for years that had A51. They have it right now when you get documents from them though.

Cool car-needs a little TLC from what I can see which is why they say older restoration I guess. Thought stripe cars were all big blocks? Anyway not going to try and pick this beauty apart but if I bought it-there would be some immediate changes -just saying. Carpets, seat belts etc.. booster an so on.
