Just received a text from Summit saying a credit has been issued to my US Visa card for the shipping and should show up in 2 to 4 days!! It should have been shipped by FEDEX NOT DHL ??? Will let you know as soon as I do if it comes through???

I never had an issue with anything from Summit, always free if you make the limit.

 they are all the same fedex. ups -shaft   the  best one is Canada post

Slight change of topic but Rockauto does most of their shipping into Canada with UPS but use DHL for any returns going back.

Every order I have made from Summit for home delivery was followed by a phone call to their order desk to confirm that the order will be shipped with FedEx. It hasnt happened yet but if for some reason it had to be shipped by UPS or any other, I would cancel the order, reorder with a shipping address to a parcel depot south of the border and drive down to pick it up.

I havent had any additional charges with FedEx. Somehow the tracking of Summit orders originates in Ontario. I dont know how that works but it makes point to point shipping from Summit to my door manageable.

Manitobans still have our taxes separate (PST & GST). It seems as though when Ive ordered from Summit with FedEx shipping the PST is overlooked or minimized somehow. Ive never questioned it.

As far as i know, summit covers the costs and tells you the up front duty and tax costs. I would say it way an error, that is why you are getting a refund

Never heard anything bad about summit shipping across to canada until this thread,  and i have known alot of people using summit with no problems.

The only things in life that are actually free................ stress, head aches and the odd pain in the butt.

 2nd, post clarifies this but took many texts back and forth to rectify, & who authorized DHL & not Fed EX!!!  Tried "hanging" on the phone but wait time was nuts!!! Music was OK though.

 Would you consider editing the title of your post then Pete, it is very misleading because you wrote it in haste and the way it reads now and provides a poor impression of Summit when in fact they came up aces for you. Maybe something like: 

Summit Offers Great Customer Service to Correct Shipping Errors Quickly !!!

Standard processing time is 3 to 4 days on refunds from the time the vendor processes it. Sometimes it will show up as pending on your account if you have on-line access before it actually hits your credit column.

 Can you view your Visa statement online?

Did check by phone, on 800 # & credit showed there. I don't do "on line" banking so have to wait for statement in "snail mail"
