Did anybody ever keep to the speed limit when "Running with the Devil" was playing ?

I guess it's from being a teen in the 80's biggrin

A very sad day for folks that love solid rock guitar and rock music that changed rock forever. He was a rock guitar icon on a number of levels and made his own road and did not travel those roads most traveled. He created his own niche that was copied by others but always reigned supreme. When many of us first heard that very first album that was released, there was shock and much of the scratching of the head. It was a new sound that was never heard before hand, as far as electric guitar. Eddie created a new guitar sound that will forever put him in the rock annals of music history and for this i will forever respect the man.

Glad I got to see him (them) in Toronto a few years back.

I'd say he probably crammed 3 lives lived into his 65 years.

So sad, was out of town at our head office and heard this on radio while heading back to hotel. I knew he was not well but had no idea it was this serious. VH, especially the David Lee Roth era, was a HUGE part of my youth and used to be able to name every song in order, which album and which side (remember those days). Wore out more than 1 VH tape cuz they were played so much in my various cars....a legend and IMHO the greatest guitarist that ever lived. RIP.

Very sad news.  Another person who had a great influence on many of us in our youth is gone.  I still enjoy his music to this day, so at least his work will live on.

RIP.  cry

Great band early on when Eddie's guitar was more prominent.

I knew Eddie was a car collector but i never knew he had a Nomad. Just another reason for me to love and respect the man.

I just learned that Eddie had a number of tri five Chevy's as well as this modified 1956 Chevy Nomad. He also had a stock original 1956 Chevy Nomad, a stock original 1957 Chevy Nomad and a modified 1956 Chevy 210 coupe. The man loved his Chevy's as well as very exotic foreign super cars.
