Just thought I grab a sample of a true Lauiren Bacall signature off the internet, That B is very distinctive and matches. 

And the E also distinctive and dead on. The U  no need to go on, its her. What a piece of provenance.

A '58 Imperial has a 23 gallon tank, she got nearly 17 gallons so it was getting down around a 1/4 tank when she stopped in.

I`ll have to admit to having a series of black and white glossies of some of my favourite golden age Hollywood female stars, some would say sex symbols, decorationg my main floor powder room. Lauren Bacall is there along with Marilyn, Rita, Ava Joan and Veronica. I always loved Lauren Bacall probably from the first time I saw To Have and Have Not, when I was about 16. My goodness was she ever sexy. 

Bogie died in January 1957 so this was a brand new car in June of 57 for Lauren the recent widow. She was 33.

A local classic car dealer has a 58 Belvedere about to start restoring soon, then will be sold. I love the lines on those cars!

 Receipt says 6-8-57 so it was new about 6 months after he passed away. I use m-d-yr and I think that's the way the USA does it too.

The new Chrysler models were introduced to the media on September 27th 1957.

The receipt may be from another car or it's "bogus"

I think that you can easily imagine one of the most beautiful Hollywood golden age stars driving around California in that beautiful baby blue Imperial.

Very Cool indeed , and just look around white grey and black cars only and they all look like non North American, says he who just bought a Himalayan Grey G80.
