My first Rock Auto experience...IMPRESSIVE

Sunday night late I ordered a harmonic balancer for a 427. Excellent price, brand name part, and wow, 17 bucks covered duty, taxes and shipping to get it through the border and to my doorstep on Wednesday afternoon.  Tough to argue with that kind of service. I'll be using Rock Auto again...

The new gas tank I ordered from them actually flew into Hamilton on a plane! Seems they'll use whatever they can to expedite the package

I ordered a pair of brand name wiper blades for the truck as well as rain X for the Honda (wiper chatters really bad) all in cheaper than one wiper blade at Canadian Tire.

Have lost count of the number of magnets on the sides of my tool box.

Sad part is local auto parts stores will soon start disappearing... When the retail business dries up there is no need for branch stores... just a warehouse and deliveries.

Thats why I bought the exhaust manifolds for my truck locally. My parts guy gives me a break on price because I have dealt with them for a long time. It cost me a hundred bucks more but if theres a problem I dont want to deal with an online vendor.

 That part is true.

In this case I tried both Piston Ring and NAPA. They both had it on their sites and at Piston Ring it was only about $20 more than this. I would have gladly given them the business but they couldn't even come up with one, even though the part number was in their system.

I agree to a small extent. But the bread and butter of the better local parts stores, is supplying just in time into the local garages.
