I was along that same though pattern. Isn't this the type of car that would have max value totally original?

Pull the 307 and put a 383 stroker in it. Then you got a car.......

Olds 455 might be an easier swap.

A 403 would be the best choice

I must say this ... I own a 86 Olds 442 w/a 502 Ramjet EFI - Built 700r4 - 3.73 8.5" posi - Hotchkis suspension kit - QA1 coil overs front. Its very "responsive" but if to do again I'd go 7.0 Lt. LS N/A - 4L60 ( Big Block is too heavy ).

Nice car. Worth the money. Very well preserved. I'd buy it and drive it all day long.

Now this is where you stuff a Mondello stroker and a built 4l65 auto.

Altho not a HURST we did buy a new 442 in 1987.

Beautiful car to drive but the 307 was lacking.

Here is a file photo of the identical car........smile

Love the headlights on the 87.

My Dad and me went looking at those when they were new. Dad was always an Oldsmobile person.

Why didn't you or your Dad buy it?

My Dad had a two-tone blue Cutlass S of this style. Nice car.

Bought an LX 5.0 Mustang with a 5 speed instead. Dad never did say why.
