Red 1971 Pontiac GTO two-door hardtop from Pontiac Michigan Assembly plant for sale. The mechanics of the vehicle are in very good condition, the vehicle cranks and runs every time. The vehicle was painted red from it's original green color and covered very well. It has a 400 CID 300HP V8 engine and is the cars oringal numbers matching unit. It is equipped with a Rochester Quadrajet four barrel carburetor mounted to cast iron manifold. A chrome air cleaner, chrome valve covers, a chrome oil pan and chrome pulleys are installed. The chrome has spots of rust on them but can be repaired. It has new spark plugs with booster pack. It has a four speed manual transmission that is numbers matching. The brake master cylinder has been painted blue. The hood has the functional scoops. The rear of the car is in good condition. The trunk lid, trunk compartment and floor is in good condition. The roof panel is in very good condition. The windows are in good condition. The brake drums are still oringal. The tires are mounted to aftermarket Cragar chrome rims, the rims are rusting but can repaired. The undercarriage/chassis of the car are in very good condition, little to no rust. It has a dual exhaust system that is clean with little rust. The interior is in generally very good condition. It has beautiful white leather seats. The head rests are oringal. The door panels are in good condition. The floor is solid with no rust and the carpet is in good condition. The headliner is in good condition, needs to be refitted properly in one spot at the back. The dash is in very good condition. The original AM radio is still installed. An aftermarket Alpine stereo has been installed in glove compartment. It has 6X9 Alpine speakers. It has an original three spoke steering wheel. The car starts and drives. The car starts easily and runs well with no abnormal noises. No rust along the doors. Unfortunately, the vehicle was hit while parked and then shortly after vandalized ( was keyed). After that it didnt run for a few years and some of the body on the hood rusted, so it requires body filler and paint. When it was hit the drivers side fender was dented in. I spoke to a few body shops and it can be repaired. They are able to pull the dent, primer it and paint it. So it just needs some body work from a good body shop or a good handy man that would do the work for cheaper. To get it running after it was sitting we had to do a bit of work and like mentioned now runs great. We replaced the starter. Cleaned electrical contacts under distributer cap and rotor. Drained gas from the tank and blew out the lines. Removed and replaced the fuel pump. Replaced the battery. Changed oil and filter. Cranks and runs great. I have an appraisal on the vehicle from 2009 when body was in perfect condition at $28,000. I am asking for $18,000 as-is to compensate for any body work it needs which should be more than enough.  905-213-1541
