1957 Hood Panel Seal

Can someone post a picture of the hood brace seal as mine is gone.

All I see that is left is the staples that held it in place.

Just wondering how long and wide it is and if it extends to the rear of the brace by a couple of inches. Thanksfullsizeoutput_3c58.jpeg

1957 Hood brace seal

Does anyone have a picture of the hood underside that would show the brace insulation/seal?
I sure missed cruise nights and car shows this year as I usually try and take lots of pictures for reference if I see any 57 Pontiacs.
Thanks

You can see the insulation just before and after the cross bar

Danchuk has the front brace for a '57 Chevy. Looks the same as your application; but no mention of a seal ?  pn 15215

Have an original 57 Pontiac shop manual at my dads. Will look and see if it shows what should be there. Might be a couple of days.

1957 Hood Panel Seal

I found out the proper name of this part for a Canadian Pontiac is hood filler panel.
The factory installed a seal between it and the hood using staples.
Most likely most remaining original cars will not have this seal in place due to age.
