1969 Beaumont Deluxe 2 Door Post - Medicine Hat, AB T1B4B4 - $35,000.00

I testing the Waters to possibly sell my rare 2 door post 1969 Pontiac Beaumont.

I am advertising the car at $35,000 and this price is not firm, so to start DO NOT WASTE MY TIME with Low Ball Offers.

I am selling a rare 2 door post car that has alll the original stainless steel trim that was a factory option in 69 and there is hardly and Beaumont's out there with this trim kit.

The car has a Cammed up Gear driven 350 that LOVES to be brought up to 6-6400 Shifts

followed by a beefed up manual valve body TH400 with a 3500 stall laying down to the street with a posi rear end that houses 4:56 gears.

She also holds the rubber down with welded ladder bars that are guided buy a adjustable track locator set up.

This spring I recently added a electric twin fan set up, a new Holley 650 Double Pumper, and had the front end done

while adding power steering and front power brakes to stop like nothing when screaming down the road.

The carb still needs to be set up and the track locator adjusted as I didn't put new rubber on her this year.

The car is definitely not perfect as this would be a body mans special but she still looks great for the condition she is in

and gets a ton of thumbs up when she is out and snapped necks when people hear her coming down the road,

The interior is a custom 2 tone Black and Grey but could use the door pannels fixed as the cheap knock off ones have the chrome striping falling off.

The dash hasn't been cut and I have factory radio to fill the hole as well.

I also have an extra set of taillights and housings, along with 2 sets of front end grilles, the hardest parts to find and the parts that make the Beaumont a Beaumont not a Chevelle.

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like additional photos or a video of the car running.

Like I said I am asking $35K as for the rarity of the car yet the price isn't firm but low balls will be laughed at.

Trades considered would be something of the same COOL factor such a lowrider car (Impala, Caddy or Lincoln)

or a beautiful classic Pickup Truck preferably a Short Box 4X4 or something slammed.

Cheers and thank you for stopping by.

One more thing is I prefer to not sell the car to someone in Lethbridge or Medicine Hat.

Do you mean the rear window louvers, blacked out windows and Trans Am steering wheel?

Great looking car. Has some strong points but not close to a $35k car. Appears to have rust in both 1/4s and many scratches and dings. Hes right that its a great car for a body man or someone who doesnt have to pay $15-20000 to get the body redone.

Yet, then there's ads like this one from 1968.  Firebird is given the same billing as Beaumont and Acadian, but nobody would dispute calling it a Pontiac Firebird - Firebird was not a stand-alone brand.  It seems that GM wasn't so concerned with marketing Beaumont and Acadian as separate brands anymore, so the confusion is understandable.  As things progressed through the 1970s, Canadian Pontiac still had cars not available in the US, but they were marketed under the Pontiac brand (i.e. the Chevette-based Pontiac Acadians).

One actually has to question the rationale behind having Acadian and Beaumont as separate brands at all, since in Canada they were only sold through Pontiac dealers.  Chrysler Canada made Valiant a stand-alone brand in the early 1960s so that it could be sold through both Plymouth and Dodge dealers, and Ford created the Meteor brand to sell "Fords" at Mercury dealers and the Monarch brand to sell "Mercurys" at Ford dealers.  What was up with GM?  Doesn't add up from a marketing standpoint, to me.

So, with all that, I'd like to think that there's no need to squabble over branding of Acadians and Beaumonts anymore - it's really not all that important in the grand scheme of things, and it appears that GM itself didn't think it was so important by the late sixties...

Sorry for the derail,

My quote came from the original add, not the comment above mine.

The two comments were posted about the same time but my post came in second, as I was looking for the right pic of my favorite cartoon.

I did not refresh before I posted.

I think we are at the point where we can have fun this this.

That's why you see a cartoon character.

Yes, in the past this discussion has turned ugly and has gone as far as personal attacks, name calling etc. Joking about it happens all the time but it certainly can't ever be a serious discussion on Canadian Poncho again!

Right now I think 2 topics are banned on CP, politics and religion. Maybe it needs to be 3 topicssmile

I am testing the waters again on my Rare 1969 2 Door Post Pontiac Beaumont Deluxe. I have had the car posted for a while now and have sent tons of pictures out so now I am reposting as I am tired of answering a million questions.

I am asking $35k or the best offer in CA$H Dollars. Now I know I am high but it's to weed out TIME VAMPIRES and I know how rare She is.

This is a car that has been in the family for 40 years now and since I have taken her home I have added Power Steering, Front Power Brakes, Replaced the Rears, done most of the front end other than 2 bushings, replaced the carb with a new Holley 0-4777c 650 double pumper with new manual fuel pup and a twin electric fan set up.

The drive train is a cammed up SBC 350 that is in love with running 2-5 gallons of C-12 but she will run on SHELL High Octane and SHELL Only and trust me this motor loves the 6200 RPM Shifts. The Transmission is a Turbo 400 Manual Valve body with a 3500 stall converter that hooks up to the 4:56 posi rear end. The rear end is secured with a welded ladder bar set up that also has a track locator installed for hard straight launches. The Exhaust is a custom Hooker Header Set up that drops the sound to the pavement under the front seats. The interior is a Custom 2 tone Black and Charcoal Grey to match the Racing Stripes along with an unmolested dash that has been un cut. As you may notice in the pictures this is a 2 door post with a very rare polished stainless steal trim package from the factory (RARE).

This car is still a great looker with tons of thumbs ups but she needs love. If I keep her this is a list of what will be done. Pulling the motor to re do all the seals and replace the oil pan with new high flow oil pump. Re do the rear end with a new set of 3:73's as there is a slight howl at 80-90kmh when pulling out of it which is over packed bearing. Full Body and Paint which includes now fenders, door shells, quarters and the drivers floor pan with all new weather seals. All the chrome will be re-chromed and the grille will be brought up to the 1969 pieces as I have 2 sets of 69 Grilles for this car. The Tail lights will be straightened along with the chrome being redone as well Tail lights aren't busted to be clear). The interior will stay the way it is other than replacing the door panels as they are cheap Chinese ones where the fake plastic chrome is falling off. The dash will be put back together with a factory replacement head unit and the trims. All new window cranks.

I have 2 sets of Grilles, 1 set of Tail Lights (The Parts that MAKE a Beaumont a Beaumont), A factory radio, the clutch set up if wanting to turn back to a manual along with all the original front end parts. The rims will be re done as one needs straightening and the beauty rings need to be straightened/ polished or maybe a new set of shoes completely.

This is the Youtube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4M0hW6WeWc if you want to hear her run. Please be serious and NO TIME VAMPIRES NEED TO APPLY. The car is for sale

You can get in real trouble with some people calling a 409 a big block.
