Made my world-famous award-winning chili last night, tonight my wife is making chicken. No sense doing a turkey for 2 of us.... Oh well, Christmas 2021 promises to be better.

Yeah same at this house but we did have an awesome turkey dinner last week when my youngest kid was out from the east. Actually will be turkey soup tonight as the high today is a degree or two below zero.

Crock pot roast & potatoes, was simmering all day.

Got home from work and the aroma hits you like a brick.

Then the wife says "I hope you don't mind, it's done early"

Nope, not at all.

Had Christmas dinner for 4, White spot take out, LOL. Nobody wanted to cook turkey for 4 of us, so
we did the take out turkey. Was actually Pretty good, 4 servings was actually way to much. Lots of left overs.
Bought it the night before and you have to heat and serve, Comes with mash potatoes, bunch of different vegys
Lots of turkey and even Pumpkin pie. Next year we will have the Large turkey dinner at Our house.
Got to be with our new Grand Daughter for her 1st Xmas so dinner was just an xtra.

It was strange for sure. I haven't seen my son for over a year. He's in Ottawa. We invited a family friend for dinner. His kids are also in Ontario and would have spent Christmas alone.

We got (3) take-out turkey dinners with all the fixins for my Wife, Mother-In-Law and I. Then we talked with relatives from all across Canada by phone for hours ... I was all talked-out by night's end.

My wife made an excellent turkey dinner for the 4 of us (kids at home|). Have to say...maybe best Christmas in a long time!! |Time with the kids,1 on 1! We played darts, crokinole and just hung out together. |Today James and I just bs'd while he helped me clean the shop. |Sometimes it is good to just slow down in life....
