When was your last Tetanus shot ?

Called my doctor after the wife was done bandaging me up. biggrin

 2003 was my last shot.

Fortunately, I have a good doctor and I will be off soon to get my booster shot.

"After the initial tetanus series, booster shots are recommended every 10 years. If you experience a puncture wound, it's best to get the booster shot regardless of when you had your last tetanus shot."

We are always banging ourselves up.

I'll bet others have forgotten about this as well.

When was you last Tetanus shot ?

My last tetnus shot was 16 years ago when I fell off my property fence and had the bottom of a dirty tomato cage go through my hand.

I recall getting a tetnus shot after this mishap but dont recall getting a bosster after. My uncle had lock jaw due to stepping on a rusty nail so my family always took tetnus seriously.

Wow, I never knew this. I only ever had one as a kid after stepping on a rusty nail.

20 years ago. Stepped on a rusty nail that was poking through a small peice of 2x4. Through the shoe and deep into the heel.

Started walking along without realizing it, clunk, clunk...oh sh##.

Last shot was 2 months ago when I sliced my finger. Nurse insisted on it while the doc was stitching up the finger.

I got one 3 years ago ... I've always kept them up because of the amount of dirty junk I handle and get cut up with.

I think about a dozen years ago when I shot a 3" nail through my finger. Or maybe about 5 years ago when I sliced another finger.

Do to a medical scare with my daughter, my shot got delayed.

Daughter is all checked out, she's OK but we will need some follow up.

Great Hospital in that town of Ingersoll, Ontario.

Saw my doctor today for the Tetanus shot.

He also gave me a antibiotic shot as well.

He said I should have got stitches but understood why I bandaged it up and lived with it.

I told him, In the old world, I would have came right in.

He said that he has seen deep infections that are hard to heal.

So I guess we have to worry about other germs as well.

I will try to behave for a while.
