first off I will say I have been lucky to have a company truck for 40 years now. Back in Mid November I hit a deer and totaled my 2016 Colorado. On the same day the bosses Dodge 2015 Ecodiesel died on the side of the road, just started running real bad and quit. ended up at the dodge Dealer and it took them days to come up with the tone ring needed to be replaced. Tranny has to come out to get to this thing on the back of the engine. When this happen I read on the internet that the cam gears slip on the cam shaft and bends all the valves but they came up with tone ring. These tone rings are going in a lot of the trucks and it took them till Christmas eve for parts to come in. they have work on trying to get the truck going after replacing the part for 3 weeks. Yesterday they found no compression on one side of the engine in all cylinders, guess what. I have been driving a miled out mini van since mid November and now I will have to wait to see if they will replace the engine in the Dodge or scrap it. Since November I have put over 10,000 on the mini van. Think I M gona be driving it till it dies
with taxes it will cost over $20,000 to replace engine. The decision has not been made yet but im guessing they wont replace it at that price. Used engines impossible to find
