Looks like the regular 4wd shifter on the floor,2wd, 4 hi, 4 low? Would only be full time 4wd if speced that way for a special order for govt and I dont know why they would want that.
Is that the good diesel? I dont know which years had good or bad diesels in them in these years. With the welder, compressor, and a portable lift, you could start a portable snowplow and auto repair business. The generator would be handy too during power outages.

I've driven many of these (government surplus). They were a very cool vehicle, but the cabins always stunk so bad! Hard to explain the stench.no

I see locking hubs on the front, so it isnt full time 4X4. It would need a change in axle ratio. A shop here had one and it really screamed at 80 kph. They ended up changing to 3:73 years. I owned an 89 two wheel drive half ton with a 6.2. It had a five speed manual transmission and 3:08 gear in the rear. It ran great, not overly powerful but it was really good on fuel. On one trip I remember getting 10 litres to 100 km.
