'48 Progress Report

So I've been working on the interior while waiting for engine parts, and here's some of my progress. The interior wasn't terrible, but I wanted to redo it, as the fabric had become so brittle, I was worried it would get trashed pretty quick.

Rear seats complete, but the fabric isn't pulled tight in the picture and it looks more like a slip on seat cover

Front seats and front seat "scat" bucket thing aren't done yet

Door panels are almost all done.  These ones had the pins for the window cranks, which were tricky to take off.

Headliner will wait, its decent for now

The odd shaped pieces are the rear armrests and the little panel above them.

It's coming along nicely! Be sure to post photos when complete and installed in the car.

Coming along well considering what you started with!

Due to that square pattern, I suppose when pulling and ringing the fabric onto the frames, it'll be extra important to get everything lined up just right.

Here's a few more pictures. The fabric on the seat bucket was intact, so I just carefully dismantled it and traced it out, made the cover and covered the steel with quilt batting before putting on the brown fabric. The seatback cushion fabric I just had to guess and test and eventually got it to the right shape, and sewed it together
