First of the Super Sports, first of the 409s, a 4-speed, a convertible, low mile restoration (though IMHO better left as a survivor), nice colour, 1 of 12...
So, yeah, a high dollar car reserved for the wealthy collector types.

The documents confirming originality are what make it a real 61 SS. Lots of words like correct attached to described parts make me wonder. But it is a beauty.

If it is as rare as described - and it probably is as there were very few 409 SS Impalas made in 61 - it may very well attract that number in the US. But documentation will be important.
On a related note, has anyone noticed on Kijiji that most of the rare cars that used to be advertised for sale in Canada seem to be mostly the subject of wanted ads? I used to get interested in 69 Camaro ads and pictures, until it became clear that the vast majority of such ads were from people looking to buy, not people selling.
This seems to be true of all the "in demand" marques. I do know that many of the most desirable cars that used to be in my town have made their way back to the US when they became available for sale. I guess, as always, the US market rules.
