Greaser (George)

George had a '64 Grand Prix delivered to me all the way from Alberta. I came home to find it at the end of the driveway.

I'm in need of parts for it's restoration (being American, I know not many of my '64 Parisienne parts will work).

I might even farm out the resto work to Todd.wink

Thanks George, it was a welcome surprise!

Now is the time to put a new headliner in with the glass out.

It's a one owner Darryl.

It belonged to my brother-in-law who had it for over 50 some years.

I think the last time it was worked on was 45 years ago...(kind of an amateurish job too)

I think it was lowered at some point. Interior is in great shape.

I'm kinda busy  with my 63  and retirement and just don't have time to restore it.

Lots to do , and I thought who better to do it than Darryl. He could replicate his 64 in the rebuild.

Possibly do a ground up resto ?  Maybe post pictures as you rebuild?

Have fun with it. biggrin

It does look lowered.

I was already looking at the front grill and how I could Dremel off the American running lights.

It might get seriously looked at in the winter of 2021-2022. Our temps are starting to ease up which means outdoor projects (we actually had a + C day today).

Very nice.  Looks like it was originally red.  Did you check the data plate yet?

Likely red but could have come in purple as well. This car has been reissued by Matchbox (new casting):

Amazon.com: Matchbox '64 Pontiac Grand Prix, Blue: Toys & Games

Yes, the first gen, were all red. The Superfast ones were a cool purple. I like the purple better.

I have a red one, even has a trailer hitch. It was always in my 64 409 and now it rides in my 64 327.

I have the Blue Gp. Nice paint, but no match for your original 64 Darryl.

Looks to be a 1962 Parisienne....

Price is out of my league.
