seam sealer


Hello! what do you guys recommend for a seam sealer? Lot of choices out there and its been a few years since i was on the shop floor.

I haven't got that far yet but will likely just go to NAPA and buy what they are selling. As long as you buy a good quality product I don't see there being an issue.

I've used the Proform brand Premium sealer as it's commonly found in every automotive supply down here. Works fine, but it certainly doesn't give you much if any time to brush or shape it.

I used it on my firewall seam in the 65, and applied paint over it about a day later which I think was too soon. It has shrunk a slight bit since.

Any dominion sure seal ones are good. I didnt like the clear. But white worked best

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH.  The other one has a longer roof.

I use a brush on seam sealer on places like floor pan to rocker panel I dont remember the brand but it is a German made product. Other places like wheel tubs I use a urethane based sealer made by preform because over the long haul it doesnt shrink and crack like the rubber based.
