Stabilizer bar on 6 cyl.

So I have 2 65 Canso SDs. The only difference from what I can tell is one is an 8 and one a 6. 
yesterday I noticed that the 6 didnt have a front stabilizer bar or holes that I could find. Is this correct or is there supposed to be one on the 6 as well. Shop manual didnt show much.

That is correct. The bar only came on V8 cars or any station wagon. Easy to install though, I put one on my 65 SD that was originally a 194.
