Replicating the GM Tailpipe Cutoff Exit

I have been playing around with this C10 dual exhaust system and I think it is almost finished, except the tail pipes don't look stock.

I want my tailpipes to have that GM look so I am wondering if anyone has the angles and any measurements they might share?

I found a pic on the web and this one looks pretty good but you know what they say, measure twice, cut once?  In this case, I want to try and get it fairly close before I get the saw going.

I took cardboard from a case of canned Cokes and made a template that makes a cut very much like that bottom picture. And of course you know the straight cut part of that slash tip goes to the top, not the side like in the picture.

I'm strictly guessing but I'd say first you make a straight cut top to bottom about 3" in from the current end of the pipe and after you make the straight cut, then make the slash.
