Yes that is definitely the L65, so they came single exhaust and this car is dual so any claim to originality in any aspect of this car is BS in my opinion. Its not even that nice, at least the pictures aren't. Its hard to believe the original owner accepted this as a substitute for a Chevelle SS 396 4 speed. He only has himself to blame on that one.
On the other hand that Cutlass is very nice and a fraction of the price. That Rocket 350 would trounce the L65 2+2 even in '73.

I wouldn't be so sure of the trounce Ray. I had a L65 69 2+2 with duals and it actually flew pretty good. I actually whooped a 69 396 Parisienne with it.
God I wish I still had it,

i bought a brand new 74 Cutlass when I was 17. Had a 72 and a couple of 73. Nice riding cars . too bad this one is not a bucket seat car but the air is a big plus

Alright then, trounce maybe a tad harsh. That's a sharp looking car. Here's what www.automobile.catalog.com turns up for perfomance data:
(I used Impala because Canadian Pontiacs are not listed.)
1969 L65 Impala Sport Coupe 0-60 in 8.6 sec and 1/4 mile in 16.7 (this is the 350 2bbl in 1969)
1969 L66 Impala Sport Coupe 0-60 in 8.7 sec and 1/4 mile in 16.9 (this is the low compression 2bbl 396 in 1969)
1973 Cutlass 0-60 in 8.5sec and 1/4 mile in 16.4 (this is the Rocket 350 4bbl in 1973)
Real world driving and exhaust modifications of course may differ but the Cutlass is the "quickest" of the three listed. No surprise with the 396 being slowest though, more weight and similar power and low compession engine it was really intended for the station wagons because of its torque.
Now the smart B Body money would have gone to the L48 300 Horse 350 2+2. 0-60 in 7.7 amd 1/4 mile in 16 seconds.
Unfortunate Bill talked into passing on the 1969 Chevelle SS which would have propelled him to 60 in 6.2 seconds and ran down the 1/4 mile in 14.6: to coin a phrase from Pretty Woman movie....BIG MISTAKE.
350-250horse 2bbl regular fuel engine was standard on 69 2+2, 350-300 horse premium fuel 4 bbl engine was optional along with regular fuel 396-265 2 bbl and 335 and 390 premium fuel 4 bbl versions of 427s. Dual exhaust was only standard on the 390 horse 427, it was not available on the base 250 horse engine and optional on the 265, 300 and 335 engines. Of note is also that the regular fuel 4 bbl 255 horse 350 offered in chevies that year wasn't offered on Canadian Pontiac's for some reason.
