1949 Pontiac Special 6 notchback sedan, on FB

(deep inhale) "Thinking about selling this one off. 1949 Canadian built pontiac special 6 notchback sedan. My work situation has changed and this car has been sitting in my garage for two years untouched. It is about 80% done but I am now 9 hours away and its just not getting finished. I had it running a year ago. It is a 239 flathead, not the original as it would have been a single barrel carb and single intake and this has the later 2 barrel carb and intake from 53-54. 3 speed manual on the column. A ton of new parts done already, rebuilt brakes, car has been repainted the original whiltshire maroon but needs final buffing. Interior has been dynomatted. Rebuilt carb, rebuilt starter, new fuel pump. Lots of upgraded parts, new chrome rocker trim, new chrome door shields, new chrome windshield and rear window trim. New nos grill teeth, new nos signal lights front and rear. I have the original rear glass and new split windshields for it, new headliner to install, new carpet kit. Seats are ok but could use a redo at some point. I do have a set of nos seat covers for it. The car was 98% rust free, one of the best Ive ever found, just some rust on the lower inner front doors which is common in these cars. Just patched and welded them up, not 100% but you dont see the bottom inner doors anyways. All new door seals, trunk seals, windshield and rear window seals, new window channel felts and inner window felts. So much more Im forgetting. So what does it need to finish? Headliner install, then window install, interior install. I also have four new door panels for it that are a copy of the originals I had made at an upholstery shop, at 600$. Tighten some driveline items, bleed the brakes, new shoes, new wheel cylinders installed. Could use new tires as it has the original bias ply whitewalls. I do have a set of nos hubcaps for it. It does have one weak cylinder as the valve seats in number 3 are a bit rough. I do have another 239 flathead out of a 54 pontiac that was running and driving for the summers before I started this one. It is a 239 with a rebuilt automatic powerglide behind it. I dont have to sell it can sit another 5 years if it has to but will make a good deal to someone. The 54 is fixable, just sheet metal work beyond my skill level. Have most of the panels to repair. Will sell the 1949 and all the parts I have for it, spare transmission, new bumpers, new bumper guards, etc. for $5000, and through in the 54 if you want it or I will keep and rebuild someday. I have gm history reports for both. 49 is a late production car, in dec of 49. 54 is documented number 13 off the line and serial number 2 for the laurentians. Now I am not running home 9 hours for every looky loo out there. If your serious, have cash in hand and a trailer I will make the trip home."
