Front and rear gas tank crossmembers - 94 Chevy Pickup

I'm in need of both the front and rear crossmembers that support the gas tank on my 94 Chevy Pickup. It appears all 88-98 are the same.

There are repro's by Dorman but I was quoted over 600 bucks for the pair (and 2-3 weeks to get one of them). My cheapest online source was The WrenchMonkey $420 (that is if in fact they do have them in stock)

Perhaps some of you guys out west might have one of these trucks sitting in the back forty with good ones? They are riveted in place and the box has to be removed to

get them out. They will ship by Canada Post as they aren't too fat and not too long. The weight limit is 66lbs so I'm not sure if they'd need to ship separately or not.

I went on Canada Post and estimated 50bs, 48" long, 9" wide by 5" high and chose a starting point of Burnaby BC. Regular shipping was about $100.

I appreciate any help getting these!

Thanks

Todd

I know my friend has some of these trucks in his yard. I'll see if he has one there with the box off. I should be seeing him in the next few days and he's only about 10 minutes from here.

In case anyone else is checking it has to be a 4x4. I see the 2wd numbers are different.

Todd, do you have the Dorman numbers handy?

Yes-

Rear is 926-956

Front is 926-957

Strangely Dorman does not specify 2 or 4wd.

Thanks to Carl for finding me a nice rear tank crossmember. I'm still looking for a rust free front fuel tank crossmember like the Dorman one shown. Dorman says Reg cab, crew cab and extended cab pickups 88-98 have this crossmember however Carl found many trucks he looked at didn't.

They aren't very heavy and should be easy to ship.

Anyone out west have one?

My last resort will be to order the Dorman one.

Thanks

It should fit Timbuk as long as the crossmember goes all the way from one frame rail to the other. On the trucks Carl checked this piece only came out part way- just enough to support the fuel tank.

I could also use rust free doors (all body styles are the same from what I understand) but shipping would be difficult.

Cliff, I removed the period after Bill's when I tried it and it bounced.
I'll try again.
