My scripted small block Pontiac valve cover collection

So I now have two distinct sets of nicely restored scripted Pontiac valve covers for the small block McKinnon engines. Any suggestions for my next aquisition?

Very nice ray!   do you remember who was doing the decal?

now you need a set of staggered bolt smooth ones.   Canadian cars had staggered bolt up to early 1962, most people dont know that fact.

We have to let ARCADIAN tell us about the decal as he did the resto.

Funny you should mention the stagger, I showed a friend the pictures and he asked if the early ones were staggered and I said yes, in fact the 63 is the first year  that aren't. I guess I'm in limited company with you guru!

So I take it the staggered bolts smooth tops are 58-62?

I would have lost that bet, I thought it was around 1959 for some reason.

In US chevies, staggered lasted into mid 59 model year, my 59 had them. I have a set off a 62 Parisienne and they were non staggered with the Pontiac on them and have no knowledge of the date they changed over from staggered. From what I have read here in the past, it seems there were some 62s.

Chris, thanks i will check out vintage lit.

for sure without a doubt Ray and I are correct. canada used staggered heads and covers up until sometime mid-1962.

I had a set of 1962 dated heads for a long time.   and yes canadian 1958-62 were smooth,  i had a bunch of those for awile too.  but that was long ago,  wish i still had a pair of covers.

The decals are a little expensive but they totally finish off the covers!
