Second dose scheduled for Wednesday June 16th......yahoo!

Maybe some cruisin' time for July and August could still happen.

Lucked out and found a pharmacy that gave me a shot on June 5th....

cancelled the June 16th shot.

My two week waiting period is now officially over...

Time to bring on normal.

I had my first Astra Zeneca about 6 weeks ago, I'm 53. Second shot in the first week of August. Had it at 2pm, next morning felt like I'd just got off a 16 hour flight but was fine again by noon. However had a runny nose from maybe day 5 and it is just clearing up now. Apparently it is a side effect that some people get, it is like someone else has a cold but you get the snot, zero other cold symptoms though just the constantly runny nose. Supposedly just an active immune system developing antibodies like it is supposed to, to a virus it has never encountered before. I can only imagine that if I was exposed to the real thing (prior to vaccination) that I would have had a fairly decent reaction to it if my body is working this hard for 5 weeks developing antibodies after it has been tricked into it by the vaccine.

Was at the Pharmacy yesterday, dropping off a prescription, when I noticed some kind of commotion going on behind the counter.

I had to ask.

Surprise shipment of AZ just arrived.

Lots of appointments available, take my pick.

After they jabbed me, they warned that shot #2 may hit harder than #1

Feel great today !

So I'm done now, weeks earlier than originally scheduled.

Will be interesting to see if you get the same runny nose like I did Randy. Small price to pay I guess!

PEI has been allowing people in but giving them a rapid test on arrival, just heard on the news after doing 25,000 tests, they have found zero positive tests for Covid.

Everyone in my family got the 2nd shot about 4 weeks ago. Myself: a bit tired on the 2nd day. Wife: low on energy on the 2nd day. Daughter 20 years old: no loss of energy, just sore where the shot took place. Son 19 years old: tired on the 2nd day and arm a bit sore. Everyone got Pfizer but my wife who got Moderna.

... but I'll be still wearing a mask under certain conditions.

I think I will wear a mask on future flights regardless. I have a history of getting colds 50% of the time after flights.

Had mine, Moderna with some side affects like: sometimes I forget what I was going to say or walk into a room and can't remember why... wait, that might be a aging thing...

Received 2nd Phizer dose on June 30. No side effects with this one, but with the 1st Phizer dose, on second day I was very tired.

I'd be in for a booster if I qualified.  Scientific evidence shows that vaccine efficacy reduces over time, so a booster is the way to go.

With my appointment, the type is unknown. I'm AZ/AZ for the double.

I've heard a variety is good.
