Maybe post a picture of them. I parted a 66 and have a few horns. Not sure if they were sold or not. They all seem a little different.

I tried to repair my 65's. They were a bear to open, and when I did they were such a mess inside I didn't bother going any further. Scrapped them but kept the brackets.

Think I'm just going to buy a pair Amazon replacements. Plenty of choices, none probably as good as GM, but they'll work.

The horns on my 65 didnt work,I had nothing to lose. I clamped the horns in the vice the the trumpet part up and filled them with WD40. Every once in awhile I would walk by and tap them lightly with a small hammer. I turned the tuning knob in and out and kept doing this for a few days. I dumped the WD40 out and blew compressed air into them to get the WD40 out. Hooked them directly to a 12 volt battery and low and behold they worked. I had to turn the adjusting screws to get them to sound right. I have no idea whats in a horn,if it was the WD40, the tapping or blowing the compressed air into them but they work now.Worth a try.
