Wanted TH350 or 400

A friend of mine is rebuilding his 63 Acadian Canso and needs a transmission. His preference would be a TH350. Does anybody have one or know of anyone that may have one in good working condition? My friend lives in Montreal.

Cheers, Leo

I just gave a TH-350 to my friend ( a very good transmission Tech) on trade for a 700 R4.

I live in Moncton , and he lives in Bathurst NB.  Do you want me to call and ask if he would sell it? or is this too far for shipping reasons?

Regards

You say it's a very good transmission. No need to rebuild, right? I will ask my friend what he thinks about the distance. Bathurst is 8 hours drive, he might even have the time to pick it up, I'm not sure. Shipping will be expensive but I'm not the one to judge.

No that is not what I said, I stated he was a very good transmission TECH .

Now the transmission was operating behind a 350 cu in installed in a 1/2 ton chev

I never operated this transmission, but I gave the torque and transmission to my buddy.

I can ask him if he wants to sell it ?

regards

Dale

Dale, he said the distance is too far away and he'd consider driving up to 3 hours away. Don't mention anything to your friend at this point. Thanks.

You dont say what engine your friend has - Is he looking for a BOP or a Chevy trans? Some trans (corporate) will fit either.

He doesn't have an engine yet but believes he can get a 350 in the upcoming weeks.

Why not get an overdrive transmission if youre starting from scratch?
