Whats up with Kijiji? I am looking for a set of tires and the size/price/location filters dont work. When trying to search I put the tire size and get over 14,000 ads from all over Canada. I guess its not the place to go for tires.
Are you using a phone? My phone shows different views of options for searches in landscape and portrait.

Yes, I am using a cell phone. The problem is that I am getting ads from commercial retailers from all over Canada and I cant filter them out. In the search feature it gives me a number of ads of about 150 for my search area and when I open the category it has over 14,000 ads. I will try a laptop and see what happens. I hadnt thought about it being a cell phone issue. Thanks
What I do when searching Kijiji is enter for example: GMC owner (I just add owner to whatever I'm looking for) Then under category: auto parts it seems to get rid of all the commercial ads and you get displayed almost all non-business ads.
Kijiji is starting to be a real s%#t show. There is zero organization when it comes to any ads. Type in a couple of words and all of a sudden everything comes up but what you are looking for. I know, been there experienced that.

I advertised an operators manual for an Allis Chalmers garden tractor on Kijiji. I put it in what I thought was the best category choice there was (using their suggestions when I listed it). The ad was up for a couple of weeks, all good. Yesterday they sent me an email saying they cancelled my listing because it was in the wrong category. I just said screw it, I'll trash the manual, it's not worth hassling with them.

Hi Carl....Just had the EXACT same thing happen. I had Corvette manuals for sale for 4-5 months. The ad expired, I updated it and ran it again, at least 1 or 2 times. They just sent me an email..."your ad is in the wrong category, entered in more than one category, and sent from multiple email addresses".........SO WE HAVE CANCELLED YOUR AD.
These large online platforms are getting more and more difficult to work with. If it keeps up we'll need to bring back those weekly classified newspapers like the Pennysaver. Simpler times for sure.
Hi Carl.... So I was pissed with Kijiji. I sent them an email complaining that the ad had been active for 2-3months and they in their wisdom had decided it was in the wrong classification.
I went on there last night and there was my ad!!! They sent me an apology this AM, asking for my feedback. So I told them their "tech people' had their head where the sun didn't shine......
Hmm, I debated doing that but I decided it wasn't worth the frustration. Maybe I should have but the ad has been gone now for a couple of days. Maybe when I'm in a good mood I'll do a new ad and try again! I'm glad you had success with Big Brother, it often doesn't go that way.

I dont sell much but Ive had the same experience where they cancelled my ad. I tried again a bit later, same ad, no problems. Just post again and see what happens.
In most cases, there are all kinds of ads in the classic cars for sale sections that are just parts or manuals. Their searches are so useless on many cases, its best to post in classic cars for parts and manuals. Why dont they crack down on those ads that have vague headings like Classic Car for sale? No make model or year. Or they just say Will Trade.

Most of these "Cancellations" are by artificial intelligence and believe me they make their share of mistakes.
AI with a room temperature IQ behind it.
