Happy Father's day !

I ordered the US made Center Arm Rest and it was here in 3 days.

Not the cheapest unit but solid and strong.

It contours the seat perfectly.

Parchment was not available as a colour so I ordered Ivory.

Took it for a test drive today and the arm height is perfect.

It's been two years since I've seen my son so it's a bit of a downer for me. It looks like he'll finally be able to come to PEI in August. Can't come soon enough!
As for buying something for myself I'm putting every spare penny into my shop and getting my truck back up to snuff.

Not car related, but I splurged on a full day charter out of Sooke for salmon, halibut & crab fishing for me, the better half, my daughter & her BF. Supposed to be a great day tomorrow - fingers crossed. Ive had this on my bucket list for way too many years. Wish me luck!

Was able to sneak in a nice used lawn tractor under the FD to me allowance. Original to my buddy, 2011 Cub Cadet GTX1054, 27HP Kohler twin. All loaded up for the journey to Gaspe'.

I've been so busy this week I forgot it was Father's Day on Sunday. I remembered this afternoon! I guess it's probably too late now to buy myself something. I'm sure I'll think of something to buy myself eventually!

My Brother has the 2010, 50 inch cut model.

He loves it !

Just a bit of advice for all those Kohler twins.

Mice love to nest on the top of the engine, under the plastic should.

When it's not in use for a few weeks, check signs of mice.

The nest caused my neighbor's motor to overheat and blow one side.

Not sure this qualifies but went for an nice cruise in a fast airplane over the lovely green boreal forest on a beautiful blue sky day and worked 4 CL 215Ts on their weekly practice. (Quiet here firewise.) Dumped about 30000 gallons of water in about an hour.  What a way to make a living!

Impressive? How many gallons per trip does it do?

Its anywhere from 1200 to 1500 gallons per drop depending on the fuel on board.

If you're close enough to a lake while working a fire you could deliver around 35 loads per aircraft over a 4 hour fuel cycle so times 4 aircraft in our Alberta group would make almost 200000 gallons in that period. That makes for a busy time in the bird dog directing this stuff to exactly where it needs to go on the fire a the same time as directing other fire fighting aircraft in and out etc. You usually have loads coming at you about every 5 minutes. Today was a lot more sedate as it was just a practice.
