A mini wrecking yard tour

So I stumbled onto this wrecking yard when a local had some fenders, doors, and trunk lids advertised for sale. Probably a couple hundred. Went the other day and found a late 40s Mercury hood and checked with a friend on its value so picked it up today. They also had a shed with tons of gauges, tachs, and clocks mostly from the 70s and up plus some NOS stuff. Everything in boxes piled up on each other. Felt like Mike from American Pickers with my flashlight scrounging around. Craziest thing of all was to find an NOS eyebrow for my Beaumont. Didnt see one more eyebrow of any type so that was a shocker.
So long story is this wrecking yard was in Kelowna for about 40 years and then shut down 25 years ago. All these parts were taken to a property out of town and stored in the bush. I had bought parts previously from them 45 years ago.
They are now trying to sell these pieces before everything goes to the crusher. Wasnt much Pontiac stuff. Saw 2 or 3 Chevy II hoods. Wish I was better at identifying all the fenders but lots of nice odd ball fenders like AMC and Vega and Pintos.

So this is the treasure of the yard. Quite solid looking big block station wagon. The fellow who let me in and is helping them sell has told them he would like to purchase it so hopefully that will work out.

Yeah just about positive it is mint. Probably $75 or $100 tops for it. Most likely will be going back as he wants me to do some carpentry work for him.

Yeah, not even sure Kevin.  I stopped on my way out and just took the picture.  Think he mentioned it had 80k miles or so.  Pretty sure Richard the owner of the yard had it for quite awhile.

Yeah he will be rolling right by on Hwy 97.  I'm a good 5 minutes off the main drag.  Be glad to grab it for you.

I could make a 20 dollar donation to the site and pay you for the shipping?  if that works out.  not a big deal if it doesnt tho.

Well I am thinking the wrecking yard guy should get $20 for his effort and providing it. Whether you donate to the site or not is your or my choice I guess. I'm thinking we both do so regularly whether it is a situation like this or not. I'm willing to follow up for sure.
