That's a good deal! There was a clearance sale at the Princess Auto in Charlottetown last week. I picked up a two pairs of US made 2 ton jack stands for 10 bucks a pair.

 Yep, thats the one. They had 2 of them at the Hamilton store.

store manager said no room because winter stock was coming in so all prices negotiable. She also said they had out grown the store  and would be moving in the future to a larger one

I bought a Quickjack system for $1,400 at Costco a couple years back. It doesn't lift as high (about 22") but is 7000 lb capacity, only 110 volt, portable and easy to store out of the way. My best investment for my smaller garage.
