Spotted: Three 1968 Pontiac GTOs used in the television series "Republic of Doyle"

I photographed these three GTOs on Saturday past. The guy who maintains these vehicles lives about a mile from my house and I saw them at his place as I was driving by.  

Beautiful cars and almost identical in their presentation. I think the one on the left in the side by side photo must be the Ontario car as the other two have old NL antique plates which means they have been in NL for quite a while.

That Ontario car looks like one that was for sale about 30 years ago in London Ontario at a now defunct used car lot called "California Car Sales"

I seem to recall reading somewhere that there were two rough cars used for scenes with collisions that were continuously repaired during the series

 If I remember, this car was used after one of the blue cars was destroyed in one of the episodes. The young man that was helping Jake Doyle felt responsible and bought the rough car as a replacement. Unfortunately I cant remember which episode it was. I am referring to characters in the show, not real life.
