Thanks! Removed the 3 gauge set from the dash. It was in really rough shape and none of the gauges were hooked up anyway. lol I've picked up a factory console mount tach that I think will look much better.

Would somebody be able to identify where this wire goes? I think its part of the courtesy lamp working. Does it go to the courtesy lamp switch? That isnt working. Out of curiosity. How do you remove the top switch and courtesy lamp switch? I dont see screws holding them in. I do see there are set screws for the switch handles.
That does look like the wire to the glove box lamp, it would be hot all the time, switch just pushes into the slot. You may have to remove the glove box cardboard. Did the convertible top switch have screws in it from the top, up under the padded dash? Ive not worked on any 58s but I assume they are all the same.

Thanks for the reply.
Theres a lip where the top switch and courtesy switch sits. I couldnt feel screws when I reached in, and if there was, I have no idea how Id get a screwdriver on them.
I picked up a factory Tach for the console. Looks much better than the ratty gauge package that was there.
Ive got a 71 Corvette shifter assembly from an old project that Im going to try to replace the existing shifter with. The shifter ball and button will be much more period correct

Nice work! Great looking car! I agree with the others who commented on the interior looking nice in their, also the tach adds class compared to the gauges.
Hi AL T. Nice to see that you now have a pair of 58s. Not sure if I sent you a reply on the Red insert you were looking for , but the spare chrome rocket I have is also missing that pcs. With regards to your parts car, would you be interested in selling the Left rear taillite quarter extension, not the chrome bezel but the actual sheet metal, it needs to be replace on mine, also it needs to be Parisienne , as they are wider than the other models. Antique Chevrolet Parts, www.antiquechev.com has a trunk mat listed in there catalog. They are located here in Dundas Ont. Thanks
Hi Al, nice to communicate with you today regarding the fan shroud. Antique Chevrolet are good to deal with by the way. Not sure they would know a lot about Canadian Pontiacs, never dealt with them on a Pontiac, but they know the Chevy stuff.
You wanted some more pics of my car, check it out here.
