I went to Barrie today and enjoyed a weather perfect day. Picked up a few items for resale at okay prices. Vending spaces were about half full. Talked to norontcan (Ted) Saw a decent front and rear bumper with brackets and backup and turn signal lights and a complete grille for a 1964 Acadian Beaumont (same vendor) A complete dash for a 1966 Parisienne, 1962 Pontiac tailights (multiple units). This is the last Barrie swap meet apparently and I heard it will be moving to North Bay.. On the field at 8 and heading for home at 2:30
I was actually pleasantly surprised by both the number of vendors and buyers. Couple of noteable missings were there was no major clips vendor and only 1 car detailing supplier. Regular assortment of non car stuff but it still took me 5 1/2 hours to cover the fields. Saw the 66 dash and the 62 tailights along with a few Acadian hubcaps. Missed the 64 Beaumont stuff. ( Chris do you remember where it was? ) Was great to get out and walk the fields.
If anyone needs that 66 dash complete with a good pad and quite possibly the steering column and wheel I have the contact info. Asking was $300.
