1937 Pontiac coupe for sale

A guy on my street here in Whitecourt Alberta has a 1937 Pontiac coupe for sale and is taking offers.

it has a flathead six engine that he says is seized [ tried diesel, kerosene etc.to unseize.]

Looks solid with a few dents and scrapes but basically all there.

Phone # on his for sale sign is 1-780-706-9995 if anyone is interested.

don't understand why people who sell cars put offers instead of a price. in my experience you send somebody an offer that is reasonable and they always come back with you must be dreaming or call you all sorts of names. i don't even look at ads anymore that say offers. shame because i would like to buy this car.

Exactly. What's the first question if you call? How much?

I tell guys I need a ball park figure because I don't want to waste my time or the seller's time if we aren't even thinking anything similar for price. I can only think of once where the guy wouldn't give me a ballpark price and you can guess what I did with that one. Passed that deal up and got on with life.

Back to the car, it looks like a great project for someone looking for a car like that.

I always tell these types I cant be the seller and the buyer. That usually gets the ball rolling.

"Make me an offer"

"OK, $200"

"What???  You must be crazy!"

"Let me know where to start, and we'll go from there"

Looks like a good project!
