‘58 Parisienne Wiring Harness Supplier?

Ive decided Im going to bite the bullet and replace the 63 year old bubba upgraded wiring harness in my 58 Parisienne this winter.

Can someone advise where I can buy the dash and engine harness? Is an American Pontiac the same harness? Ames sells a 58 Dash and engine harness but Im wondering if it would work in my Parisiennne?
When I replaced the harness in my 58 Impala a couple winters ago the vendor had the option of OEM harness and a OEM harness upgraded for alternator and HEI.

Im assuming the AMES harness is for a generator and voltage regulator. My car has a big block, two wire alternator, and an HEI. Im sure I could make a stock harness work, but Im wondering if there is a vendor that sells a harness for a 58 with those updates?
I want to stick with an OEM style harness, not a Painless or other aftermarket product.

Thanks in advance.

Allan

Your Parisienne harness is setup the same as the 58 impala, the only difference would be any difference in say gauges or idiot lights. Check online or in a shop manual for the 58 impala and Parisienne wiring drawings and trace out any differences and compare the gauges and say dash bulbs and heater wiring.

The engine harness and headlight would be Chevy as well. Since you have a BB and hei, they would upgrade/make those changes. The best would be from American Autowire, speak to Donny and tell him what you have in detail.

I have no knowledge of 58s for Chevies and no knowledge of US Pontiacs. Ive worked on my 63 Parisienne, the 59 and 62 Chevy and put a complete AA wire harness, engine, dash, and headlight, in the 62 and in a 63 vette. I had the 62 modified for an alternator plus a Pertronics and a mini high torque starter. My 63 has Painless, I dont like it at all.

If as Don says it is the same as Impala, try American Autowire.

I have purchased several harnesses from them and the quality is excellent and imho prices are reasonable.

They will also ship USPS......biggrin

American Autowire is open for manufacturing and shipping as usual. We are experiencing a very high order volume, and are working amid COVID-19 safety precautions to ensure the well-being of our team members.

As I mentioned, I replaced the wiring harness in my Impala a couple of winters ago. From what I can remember, the harnesses are no where similar. The ignition and headlight switches are different (plug type) and obviously there are different numbers of dash lights (not a big deal). Theres also a power bus bar (not sure if thats what its called) in the drivers side kick panel area of the Parisienne that isnt on the Impala.
I do appreciate the comments!

Post a pic of that bus bar, be interesting to see it. If you can find the impala and Parisienne shop manual electrical drawings , compare them. You could call AA and ask Donny, he may own an Impala, cant remember. I had not thought of the ignition switch. But they may be very close?

Allan I have a 58 Pontiac shop manual if you need one.  Cover is not in the best condition but all the pages are still in decent shape.  Asking price is $50.00 plus shipping.  Bob.

Found a wiring diagram for the Impala in the Old Can Manual Project. You should be able to print it off.
