Any folks out there help a guy out ! Reading the vin for a 1968 Beaumont i just bought its a big block in it , the number is 7383781110146 and the cowl tag is 68 738370S80252 766  1-5-22   9yy  Thankyou in advance !!!

Yup you have a 738 37 which is an SD396. Oshawa buiikt of course.

 Yes, GM Vintage is the only way to know for sure what your car was built with . They will also tell you what dealer it was invoiced to originally. It's not cheap, I think now it's about $140? Well worth it for an unusual car like a 68 Sport Deluxe though.

I think yy is butter nut yellow  and 9 is enamel paint 766 is black bucket seat interior trim.
