Aug 30 was our 42 Anniversary so we decided to go to our favourite restaurant in Cobourg.
That was a Tuesday..the restaurant closed at 3.00 PM on Tue... So I had my walking poles and we hiked to a restaurant at the harbor for dinner. After dinner we went to meet my cousin at the bandshell for an evening concert where my cousins future husband plays in the band.
Drove home satisfied with my pole walking.
My wife attends a couple of exercises classes and one morning a week ago after I signed up for a Presto Card I decided to hop on the bus and go for a Sunset Grill breakfast. Using my walking poles I stopped to my drug store for a refill.
Next on to another bus stop and 3 transfers later I got close to home and a Coffee culture.
My wife doesn't have a cellphone so she was concerned about this old fart and I answered her call as I stepped off the bus explaining i was going to Coffee Culture for my reward.
I had explained that I wanted to deliver some parts to Mark (Cdnpont) via a go train trip to Burlington. My wife vetoed that idea as being too much.
Tue I made that trip with a direct run and Mark met me in his 67 thunderous Poncho. Went for lunch and Kevin joined us. Years ago I sold a car cover to Kevin and delivered it to his location.
After lunch we did some pavement amusement exercises throughout the region.
Mark then deposited me back at the go station for the return trip home.
Using my walking poles for the whole outing I managed to get lost in the tunnels in an attempt to get to track 3
Eventually a customer rep showed up on the platform 3 where I should be.
Having to use the elevator at the far end of the track she offered to meet me and get me to the right track.
Called my wife to meet me at the go train.
Supper was all ready when I got home at 8.00 PM
Today, another day so I decided to try a dry run to the Abilities Centre in whitby.
Got on the wrong bus and ended up in a subdivision because of construction.
Took an uber to Eggsmart
Had breakfast at EggSmart and took time to submit this missile.
MTO advised me that my medical forms had been received AUG 24 and it would be weeks before I get a request to appear for licence reinstatement. Holding my breath.
Tomorrow I start back at Abilities Centre for my 1 hour personal coaching session twice a week after a short Thanksgiving break.
Monday I have a massage session scheduled to take out some kinks
Gotta keep the engine purring.

Sounds like a great day! I have been using walking poles for hikes ever since the long walk in Spain (a couple of years ago now) and I must say they are very helpful even at my young age. (heh heh) They take a fair bit a strain off the back, and straighten out my caveman posture to a degree as well as just helping to set a rhythm.
I thought they were kind of dumb when I first saw people using them but I am a convert now.

just got back from my workout with my personal trainer as she took a Thanksgiving break of one month.
Didn't know how out of tune I was.... taking short brakes as we proceeded thorough my one hour session
Next week will be twice a week getting back in the groove.
Ken, I followed your Spain trip closely when you were posting daily. A great read and adventure for you and your wife. I found the poles out of necessity and after I adopted the straps on the poles around my wrists I found I could be more focused on the length of my stride and made it easier to focus on where I was going.
Interesting you posted because Mark and I were chatting about putting an electric conversion up front but decided to leave the exhaust to babble our announced arrival. I will pick the rumble over the watching a electric usage guage.
