15" steel wheels wanted 4.3/4" bolt pattern

I'm starting to dislike the fact that I can't buy a tall enough tire for my stock 14" rims. I'm looking for a set of stock 15" steel rims that will accept my stock 66 Pontiac dogdish caps. Anyone in Southern Manitoba have a set for sale?

The late 70s to mid 80s Impala/caprice with 9 1/2 rear brakes are 4 3/4 bolt pattern. Cant say for sure about the hubcaps though.

Carl, you probably remember, my 15 rims have 4 hubcap bumps, tight fit but work if youre careful.

Yes, it's pretty much those cars or else the 73-77 A bodies that will have what I want. I can't recall if S10 had a steel rim that looks right but the bolt pattern would be correct also.  Same for Camaro and Firebird.

I recall that, thanks for the reminder. I think if I can find some I'll take a hubcap along to try before I buy.

I have 4 with tires on them, and I think 2 bare ones. But they're here in Calgary.

I've got a couple. I could give them to Douggie and he could drop them out the door as he flies over.....

RE: 15" steel wheels wanted 4.3/4" bolt pattern

Carl, I gave up looking for nice 15's in 5- 4 3/4. The ones I saw were a mess, oddballs, pitted, and would have needed a lot of work to make them look nice. Besides, I really wanted the 8" on the back and the 7 up front.

So I just bit the bullet and bought 4 new 15" Wheel Vintiques series 62 rims in 7 and 8". 4.25" BS. The only caveat is the WV rim is lug centric compared to hub centric in the stock wheel, but the center stamping openings are very close to the stock wheel (if not identical), and they do have 3 bumps for the Pontiac DD caps.

Pricey (more now BTW), but they required no work, came in the width I'd desired and balanced well the first go. The powdercoat finish would have accepted paint no probs if I so desired.

But I'm sure there is some nice ones out there for the taking at a good price if you strike it just right. Good luck.

Im always looking too.  had a wanted ad on earlier this summer.  nothing much around.  Need a good junkyard tour in order to find some.  Still lots out there in the fields!

the 4 bumps fit the stock dogdish no problem,  all my cars have them.

I might be able to arrange that. My brother in law/sister in law live in Lethbridge. They may come for Christmas, not sure yet. Do you want to PM me with details please?

I do have a slight possibility of 4 but won't know for a week or two, so in the meantime I'll keep digging. NO rush at all, just looking ahead.

Maybe I can hire Jerel on his next cross country tour. He seems to like doing those.

I'm scared if Doug drops them out he might lose his balance and fall out of the plane.
