A core if you absolutely have to have the original small bearing 4 piston setup for your 67-68. Rough looking like it's been dragged out of a field, but not often seen anywhere.

Would be cheaper overall then a Willwood, etc. conversion.

John Stuart Stoney Creek could probably sleeve them in stainless. And I think rotors are available.

Of note: A standard rim will not fit over them, rally's or aftermarket are required. Chevrolet Full size abandoned this design in 69 (or late 68 depending on what you read) as they were plagued with issues.

Yes, those calipers were not the best, though they are quite similar to the units installed on Corvettes for years. One of my 68s originally had disc brakes but when I got it there were drums on the front. I'm sure I know why. I installed a 69-70 setup.

The only 68 I have now with the original 4 piston calipers in my 68 SS427 Impala, which had this setup from the factory; and the front brakes worked well when I got the car.

I think one of the reasons they went to a single piston, besides, cost, complexity and leaking, was it would fit behind a standard 15" wheel.

Good for cores. That's it. Unless you want to have the calipers rebuilt.
