What would you do if you found a dime

Going out for dinner and there it was... real shiny glistening In the sun.

Have to be careful with any sudden moves so I cautiously and in a calculating manner scooped the sailboat into my pocket.

Stopped later that night and went to the grocery store.

At the entrance to the store was a Salvation Army kettle.  I always scan my pocket for some loose change and found the sailboat.  Something new at the kettle for making donations a board with tap sections for $5.00   $10.00 and $20.00.

Fascinating that Salvation Army has moved into the digital age.

I slipped the sailboat into the explanation that i was paying it  forward.

Was it silver? I suspect no.

Funny you ask Cliff, I found a dime just the other day when I was walking. Yes I picked it up. I will always pick up change if I find it. Why wouldn't anyone?

Some say finding a dime is a message from a deceased loved one.

 I think it's pre-1968 for pure silver.

Yes. 1968 and earlier, but Canadian coins were NEVER pure .999 silver. The last coins were only .500.

A lot of us don't carry cash anymore.

Digital payments are taking over.

Good for them for being in touch with today.

They may not get many "Tap" donations at first but you have to start somewhere.

You're dime will be put to good use.

Every little cent counts !

What about the 'Kettle' at the bottom of Poncho website?
