Another Rock Auto purchase

Had to get a set of rear shocks for my 2012 Hyundai Accent.

Should arrive Wed.

Will have to find a way to get them installed.  Living in an apartment without a shop to play in.

Have a friend in Bracebridge who may be able to help me out.

Well it seems that FedEx was overwhelmed by black Friday deals and instead of 2 day delivery it took until today Dec 10 for my shocks to arrive.

Almost 2 weeks. Showed as shipped and arrived in Markham Ontario within a couple of days then got lost in transit
kept chasing the order by the tracking number but got lost for a few days.

Now have to check with my friend in Bracebridge to see when we can get them on.

Seems that Rock Auto has changed their shipping policy, order more than one thing and

freight is double, order 3 different things and yup 3 times the freight. Bulk is better, but gonna have to rethink this.

Really? I thought it depended on whether the part was in the same warehouse? You'd see A or B depending on the warehouse. Now I understand there's a huge parts shortage so maybe their parts are spread out over a number of locations now.

Maybe your right Todd, I did see the A -B -C, but have never paid multiple freights before.
And Yes Cliff the freight is not good right now. Delays all over. Hope you get them installed easily.

Yes, I've worked around with different brands and been able to save money doing it that way. Sometimes you can pay a bit more for a part but get it from the same warehouse as another piece and in the long run the more expensive part is the better deal.

I've noticed their shipping costs have increased but we certainly can't complain about that. It wouldn't be realistic to think they could keep that $11.99 shipping rate that we enjoyed for so long.

Contacted my friend in Bracebridge and he tells me the garage is full of a boat and snowmobiles along with 2 classic British cars in his exterior workshop.

Can any member help me out?

After Christmas could be an option.

Install two rear shocks on my 2012 Hyundai Accent. (Ordered from Rock Auto)

Geeze Cliff, if it were a warmer time of year, I'd say bring it right over and we'll do it in the driveway.

It looks like a no brainer on the 10-18 Accent. Maybe some stuck bolts, but nothing a CP guy can't get past,

Well the bank account allowed me to take my car to finally have the rear shocks installed. An hours labour for each side.  Labour $95.00 per hour at CAA Approved auto shop.  An old trusted customer from my Green + Ross Tire days.
