As a dispatcher, I don't drive anymore for work.

My doctor said to me last year, "Do you really need this for work" and my answer was "No"

So I let mine go, maybe a mistake, looking back.

I would contact the MTO and my guess is, that they will be giving a new grace period, in light of the new rise in infections.

I just did mine (in Manitoba). I had to book an appointment well in advance but they did still take me in.

Hi Kevin
I had the same problem last year-I went to DriverCheck-they are local-it was cheaper than getting a medical at my doctors- www.DriverCheck.ca
They should have something in your area.
Keep on Cruising!

English translation please.   What is an AZ truck?   Why wouldn't a doctor do a medical?

A is Ontario tractor trailer licence the Z is air brakes. Doctors are busy helping the sick here. Doctors charge for this service as its not covered under Ontario health. Dave as put me in the right direction

Medical is for the A . We do written tests for A,Z ( air brake ) and road signs every 5 years. they lowered the age for a drive test then put it back up to 85 now.

?? Here in BC we have class 1 (tractor/trailer) Class 3 Tandem and 15 for air endorsement. Medical when you get a notice in the mail every 3-5 years. No retesting/updating for license or endorsements. Had mine for 30 years and never had to go back to class...

Heard something on news today I thought was a little weird, apparently only BC has mountain terrain driving requirements for Truck Driving??
So if you are from ONT. or other eastern Province it is not required for you to know how to drive in Mountains? Or how to put chains on during winter conditions??
Sounds kind of fishy, but just interested to hear others info on this.

I can believe it!! Just watch "Hwy Thru Hell" & see the truckers from Ontario having "NO IDEA" how to put chains on [if they even have them]
