I read an article years ago about that car. It was thought to be a clone until it was found to have a lot of prototype parts on it. The production cars were built on a convertible chassis but the prototype was on a regular chassis and the car was from a different assembly plant.
from what i have heard the frames are box but not just convertible frames. they scratch their heads over the options the cars got but I scratch my head about the one they did not get. All cars had open diffs
