Oil already up to $98 from $92.

Lots of countries announcing new sanctions, be interesting to see what will happen on the cyber war front. Will Facebook in Russia shut down or whatever sites are there? Lots of countries will attack Russia via cyber and vice versa. Lot of reporters on the ground.

I tell my kids to shut off all devices overnight and disconnect wifi as much as possible when not in use. We don't know what to expect.

Russia supplies about 7 or 8% of the oil to the U.S. so we could see an increase of crude oil of probably 15 to 20%. It will probably be higher. The oil prices seem to be raised at any opportunity.

Pretty unique war compared to prior wars, the live video. Saw a Ukraine soldier live streaming his fight with Russians, one of a unit of 12 soldiers. They all died.

Just saw a cbc interview with a Canadian living in Ukraine, been there 30 years and has kids and grandkids there. Very well spoken lawyer in his 60s Id say. He has taken up a weapon with the rest of the Ukrainians. He said some of the Russian soldiers captured werent even told they were going to Ukraine, they were going on a training exercise. They ran out of fuel and had no food.
This fellow said there are 3500 Russian dead and the Russians are not taking the bodies home, they are laying around everywhere.

The fellow sounded very believable. In Russia, the media are not allowed to call this war. Apparently there are laws to follow if you call it a war, that Putin doesnt want to follow.

Putin will not not and has not followed rules. Dissidents are murdered or poisoned. If Russia wins, Ukr people will be executed and tortured as a penalty for being defiant. This will happen. There are no rules with a dictator who recognizes no authority. This isn't the first time for Ukraine to have a genocide perpetuated against it, but I genuinely prayed it would never happen again... Yet, here we are on the edge, 8 years into this war, watching the devil at work. The misinformation has been fed to everyone in the world, and especially within Russia. Prayers for Ukraine and freedom.

I heard the Russians destroyed that huge cargo plane- the Antonov AN-225 that was parked at the airport in Kiev

Sad to see that gone. It was in London in the 90's picking up a locomotive built by GM Diesel

WTI oil trading at around US$112 this morning. Ukraine says 2000 Ukrainian soldiers and civilians killed and and over 6000 Russians killed.
