Twenty years ago there was one in the shop with a bad master cylinder and it had manual brakes! We couldnt find a master cylinder from the jobbers so I called the dealer. When I asked about the master cylinder for a 1981 Malibu with manual brakes the response was no such thing, they all have power brakes. After I gave him the VIN number his attitude changed. He found one and we had it in a couple of days. I havent seen another with manual brakes.

Honestly, this thing is a true piece of canadian history,  and there are not many left.   Keep it stock and original, and you have a real conversation piece.

And this one looks pretty good as a survivor,  might even be the nicest one left,  I can only hope that whoever buys it, knows what they have, an Iraqi malibu!
