Do a search on here, there was a bunch of discussions on the 65 and 66 models having a letter in the serial numbers on canadian cars, cant remember the reason now tho.

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH. The other one has a longer roof.
Kevin, in 1966 the first digit should always be a 6 for the year. As far as I've seen all the Canadian GM vehicles in Canada had that format. First digit was the year, next three digits where the model, next two digits where the body style, followed by the plant code and then the sequential production number.
I believe the one that Beaumontguru is talking about that we have discussed here in the past is the one for the plant code.
