Remember to move the clocks ahead tonight! (for those of you who do it)

Over this side of the pond we don't change until the end of the month. I don't really get why we still do it. The reason given to me, when I was a nipper, was that farmers in the north would get more light when they needed it. Thing is, tractors have so many lights these days they can work all through the night and some of them do just that!

The farther north or south, you get from the equator, the more dramatic the amount of daylight shifts from winter to summer.

Most of us would rather have those long summer nights than have a June 21st 4am sunrise.

A big push here to get rid of daylight savings time but we are so in sync with the USA, they would have to switch too.

7am, the grocery store was empty.

I love this day !

Yes, and in the lower 48 Arizona doesn't either. Hopefully they will start a trend that spreads through North America!

i want daylight savings time all year long,   dont you manitoba guys really enjoy it when it stays light out late into the evening?   with standard time all year long it will be dark by 9pm instead of 10pm in june and come july and august the evenings will be even shorter.   i do hate the time change, it really screws a person up,  but summer is short enough as it is!   and when the sun comes up at 4 AM its kind of pointless isnt it?  i mean im an early riser, but that would be a bit too early

I agree with you 100%. If it does change in Ontario I would much rather have daytime saving time all year long. I know people that suffer from depression and they really have a hard time in the winter when its dark earlier, especially when the time first changes in the fall.

Yes, I should have included that. Who cares if we get lots of light in the mornings? Most people want evenings for yard work etc.
