Hey folks,

 Support to the site is at the lowest point it's ever been. I do appreciate the small number of you who have donated to the site however in the last two days I have had to infuse $200 of my own funds to the CP bank account to cover expenses. I can't continue to do this. I do understand these are difficult times for a lot of us. Prices for everything continues to increase. Unfortunately it includes the fees I incur to run the site. I'd greatly appreciate any support. You can purchase swag from the store by clicking on the link at the top of the page. You can also donate as little as $5 using the Paypal link at the bottom of the screen. You can also e-transfer support to canadianponcho@gmail.com

It was heartwarming to see a member who just signed up donate $5 immediately after.

 Todd, would it make sense to have some sort of visual indicator next to the donation button that shows $ in reserve vs upcoming costs or something? Maybe like one of those thermometer type things you see for fundraisers? I think there are probably quite a few guys who are happy to contribute now and then, but aren't necessarily aware of how much is needed or when. It probably wouldn't eliminate the need for reminders completely, but I'd think it should help?

I agree on a status indicator for site costs. Not necessarily with an amount, just a low and high indicator maybe with a green and red zone. It would be an indicator that would prompt us to donate when the indicator is approaching the red zone.

The status gauge sounds cool but I'd have to figure out how to write such an application. My HTML skills are stuck at around 2008 and a lot has changed since.
Don't you hate it when a company just goes ahead and renews your membership without any warning? That's what happened this weekend with my swag supplier (I pay a fee for the dropshipping service) and the online store hosting company and those costs were higher than expected. I also got hit with a Photobucket renewal which I need to keep going as there are hundreds of photos the site still accesses on there. Then 2 weeks ago the domain name renewals were automatically charged as well so there were quite a bit of costs all at once.

 I cant say enough of the comradery of this site. The value of this site is part of what kept me on track to finish my Poncho.
