Toasted 454 teardown

It's always entertaining to see a blown one torn down...of course, when it's not your own.

The 454 in my Parisienne came from a Safari Estate wagon. It would turn over, but not all the way. When I disassembled it, my first clue was a broken pushrod and guide, and once the heads were pulled each cylinder had its share of aluminum powder from a grenaded piston (#3 cylinder if I recall). Fortunately the rebuild was no problem.
