Wanted rear valance for 69 2+2

Looking for a rear valance and radio for a 1969 2+2

The rear valance is a tough one as they're different than the US Pontiac's. They're usually pretty beat up.
Re the radio, I should have one from a 70, they're the same except for the face of 70 is black, whereas 69 is a steely blue. Tough to see the difference due the position of the radio.
Do you have a rear speaker?

Not a 100% sure what you mean by that, but I presume it doesn't mean someone was trying to shag a girl in the car during the winter.  That's what it would mean here in Calgary.

First of all, welcome !

You may want to advertise on Kijiji for the valance.

Ironically the has been a 1969 rear valance for sale on Kijiji in Barrie Ontario, on and off, for years now.

Not currently listed.

3 hours from me so I never made the trek.

As for the radio, cdnpont gave me a few for safe keeping.

Sometime this spring, the members will meet in the GTA area as they always do (hint, hint).

I could pass an AM radio on to you for use in you car.

Any monetary transaction would be a donation by you to this great site.

As a true 1969 b-body nut, I would love to see picks of you car on Canadian Poncho.

We need a 1969 feature car this year.

Please consider the thought of featuring your car on this site.

I'll shut up now biggrin

It was a slang term down here for hitching a ride on the back of a car in winter. All the kids used to do it. I pulled up one day and 3 kids hooked on the back of my 69 grabbing the valance. I took off and left them sitting there with it in their hands.

ahh, I thought maybe that's what you were talking about.   Was just called Bumper Riding or Bumpering here in Calgary.

I knew it as Bumper Hitching. We used to do it in Summer also, on skateboards.shocked.gif

I used to take the school bus for a ride few blocks on choice days. Had to duck down really low, below the rear door window. Some "squealers" in the rear of the bus used to alert the bus driver when we were hitching.no

By-the-way, that rear door window was handy to do a "pressed ham" against, giving cars behind the bus a "full moon".biggrin Yes, we were bad!

While it appears a few people can provide the rear valance for your 69 2+2, do you have the small brackets that bolt to the chassis and the valance? They seem to be hard to find. I've sourced a couple sets for site members in the past.
